Adin Senquiz

Adin Senquiz, age 74, of Lorain, passed away, Friday, March 31, 2017 at his residence while under the care of his family and Crossroads Hospice, Lorain, following a short illness.
Born May 15, 1942 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, he lived in Pueblo, Colorado before coming to Lorain in 1974. After graduating high school, Adin served in the US Army for two years.
He worked as manager for Housing and Urban Development in Lorain for many years. Prior to this, he worked at US Steel in Colorado then in Lorain, retiring from there in 1982.
He was a member Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God in Lorain where he was very active in the church and with the Royal Rangers Youth Ministries and prior the co-pastor at Iglesias Christiana Pentecostal in Lorain. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104. Adin enjoyed fishing, camping, working on cars and all types of sports. He was known to always be there to lend a helping hand.
Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Victoria (nee Ramos); sons, Angel L. Senquiz of Lorain and Anthony Ramos of Detroit, MI; daughters, Sonia M. (Jorge) Orci Senquiz of San Diego, CA, Maria V. Pacheco of Millsboro, DL and Debbie Quinones of Lorain; grandchildren, Angel Senquiz Jr, Jacob Senquiz, Joshua Senquiz, Jeremy Pacheco, David Champion, Alexis Orci, Hector Orci, Jose Ramos, Fabian Ramirez, Shemika Ramos, Linda Johnson, Crystal Maes, Toni Ramos, Anthony Ramos, Jessica Quinones, Anna Roman, Joaquin Echavarria and Adin Echevarria; 19 great granchilden; brothers, Felipe and Pablo of Lorain, Efrain of Cleveland, Juan and Evanelista both of Puerto Rico; sisters, Imelia Santiago and Zulma Senquiz both of Puerto Rico, Elizabeth Senquiz of Georgia and Maria Senquiz of New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Prebistera (nee Garcia) Senquiz; brothers, Ismael and Andre; and a sister, Inozencia Rodriquez.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God, 4230 Clinton Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am. Rev. Pedro Negron, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20 of Lorain will conduct military honors. The Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists is handling the arrangements.
