Aida L. Toledo

Aida L. Toledo, (nee Gomez) age 66 of Lorain went to be with the Lord at New Life Hospice on November 14, 2011 following a prolonged illness.
Aida was born on November 20, 1944 in Yabocoa, Puerto Rico and came to Lorain May 29, 1960 and resided until her death.
Aida aka "Grandma Bingo" enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends, as well as cooking, watching musical entertainment and casinos.
She was a beloved mother who had a good heart and welcomed anyone into her home even stinky pets.
Survivors include her children: Maida I. Toledo, Hector E. Toledo, Jr. Elizabeth Toledo Bailey, and Henry L. Toledo, 6 grandchildren, Sinead Morales, Hector E. Toledo, Jonathan Toledo, Victoria Bailey, Dylan Bailey and Jaden Toledo, 3 sisters, Rosa Gomez, Ana Velez, Norma Gomez, brothers, Roberto Gomez, Francisco "Paco" Gomez, Carmelo Gomez and Ramon Gomez.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Antonia and Francisco Gomez.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Fr. John Retar, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
