Alexandra "Alice" Kordeleski

Alexandra "Alice" Kordeleski (nee Pola), 95, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her residence while under the care of Superior Hospice following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 10, 1919 in McKees Rocks, PA, she lived in Poland for 18 months before returning to Pennsylvania in 1938. In the early 1940's she moved to Lorain where she has lived since.
Alice was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lorain, where she was active member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Stefan Czarnecki Lodge 1430 of the Polish National Alliance.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, crafting and gardening.
Surviving are her sons, David and Donald (Marci Ksiazk) of Lorain; daughters, Marsha (Eldon) Peck of Sun City Center, Florida and Alice (Jerry) Freeman of Lorain; 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike in 1956; sisters, Kazia Fafula, Angela Pola and Michaslava Kozak; and her daughter in law, Diane Kordeleski.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 am followed by mass at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
