Alice P. Krivell (nee Poszywak), age 83 of Elyria, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Life Care Center of Elyria.
She was born July 22, 1922 in Lorain; living in the Lorain area her entire life.
Alice graduated from Lorain High School class of 1940 B, and was a September 1973 graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing.
A Licensed Practical Nurse, Alice worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital for 12 years.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, the St. Joseph School of Nursing Alumni, AARP, the Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Ohio, and a former member of the Federated Russian Orthodox Clubs (FROC).
She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking.
Surviving is her son, Harold Krivell Jr, of Springfield, VA; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Poszywak of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harold Sr, in 1992; her daughter, Alexis "Lexy" Krivell in May of 2006; brothers, Peter Poszywak in 1966, Michael Poszywak and John Poszywak; sisters, Anna Shunka in 2004, and Julia Topaloff.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where a parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 2238 E. 32nd Street, Lorain. Archpriest Basil Stoyka, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
