Alonzo W. "Lonnie" Hall, age 72, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at his home, on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
He was born on July 27, 1940 in Washington, PA and has lived in Lorain since 1974. He was employed at Ford Motor Co, Avon, for 29 years, retiring in 2002. While living in Washington, PA, he took great pride in working at the Robert Gordon Funeral Home for 17 years.
"Lonnie" loved his family and loved to go bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth J. "JoAnn" (nee Anderson), his children; Alonzo "Little Lonnie" (Tracie) Hall, of Sheffield Lake, Charles D. Hall, of Lorain, Lynn (Eric) Janke, of Kennesaw, GA, and Jefferrey Hall, of Lorain, his 6 grandchildren, 4 ½ great grandchildren, brother, Weldon "Skip" (Georgeann) Hall, of Northport, NY, and sister, Katherine Ann Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John Hall and Katherine Hall Bagrich, and sisters; Caroline "Cookie" Stoner and Judy Hall.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends will also be received on Friday, Jan. 25, from 4-8 pm, in the William Neal Funeral Home, Washington, PA, where services will be held on Sat., at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery, Washington, PA.
