Emilia “Millie” Taliano (nee Zinitz) entered her heavenly home following a lengthy illness on Monday, October 17, 2022, while at Kingston of Vermilion. She was 86 years old.
Millie was born June 4, 1936, in Lorain to the late Barny and Helen (nee Glowinski) Zinitz. She graduated with the 1954 B class of Lorain High School and attended Lorain County Community College and Comptometer School. Millie has resided in Vermilion for the past 52 years.
Millie worked for 10 years for Erie Railroad in Cleveland before moving on to the Ohio Bureau of Employment Service in Lorain. She worked there as an examiner for 24 years, retiring in 1998.
Millie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Vermilion and the Vermilion Boat Club.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, boating and cooking. For the past 25 years, Millie and her husband spent their winters in Benita Springs, Florida and Lake Erie in the summers.
Surviving is her loving and devoted husband, Thomas “Tom” of 63 years; dear son, Ross (Hilary) Taliano of Walpole, Massachusetts: her beloved grandchildren, Brian and Sari; a brother, Bernard Zinitz of Lorain; and a sister, Gerry Milasky of Avon.
Services for the family will be private.
