Ana Delia LaLuz, age 74, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at her residence, following a diagnosis of cancer, just 6 weeks ago.
She was born on June 24, 1932 in Ciales, Puerto Rico, and had moved to Lorain in 1952, where she had resided with her uncle and aunt, Felix A. and Virginia Rosario, during her life in Lorain.
She was employed as a seamstress for the Joseph & Feiss Company, Lorain, for several years. Ana had enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading the Bible, and spending time with her family.
Ana is survived by a sister, Gloria Ojeda, of Manati, Puerto Rico, and her two brothers; Luis LaLuz and Wenceslao LaLuz, both of Manati, Puerto Rico. She is also survived by her other family members; Myrna Skarupa, of Macedonia, OH, Jose Rosario, of Louisville, KY, and Felix A. and Virginia Rosario, Elba Armstrong, Lillian Barkus, Felix A. Rosario, Jr., Rosa Keene, and Virginia Amanda Jannuzzi, all of Lorain, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgilio and Vicenta (nee: Pagan) LaLuz.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2006, from 5-9 p.m. at the Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1981 East 30th Street, Lorain. Visitation will also be held on Friday, October 27, 2006, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10:00 a.m., also at the church. The Rev. Oswaldo Magano, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
