Ana Hilda Rios

Ana Hilda Rios (nee Leon), age 79, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness.

Born September 1, 1942 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in 1952. In 1995, she moved to Florida, returning to Lorain in 2004.
Ana had a 40-year career as a nurse’s aide working at Avon Oaks, Elyria Methodist Home and private care in Florida and Cleveland.

She attended Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain and enjoyed camping.
Surviving are her sons, Israel Jr., Kerwin (Laura), Marvin (Lisa), Alvis, and Ercin; a daughter, Kelly (Frank) Ramos; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; a brother, Roberto (Shirley) Leon; and sisters, Luz (Arturo) Visalden and Elba Leon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Segundo and Marina (nee Rosadio) Leon; and sisters, Sylvia Torres and Mryna Marrero; a grandson, Alexander Rios.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Masks and social distancing will be required. Private inurnment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
