Andres "Andy" Dearmas, age 29, of Lorain, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 from injuries sustained in a motor scooter accident on the Henderson Avenue Bridge in Lorain.
Born January 14, 1976 in Cleveland, he has lived in Lorain since 1982.
He was formerly employed by Marc's in Elyria for 2 years.
Andy was a very outgoing and friendly person who enjoyed working out, sports, fishing, and spending time with his dog Midnight.
Surviving is his daughter, Andresja Dearmas of Lorain; his mother, Manuela Cabrera (nee Serrano) of Lorain; his brothers, Candido Serrano of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Alfredo Serrano and Jaime Cabrera both of Lorain; sisters, Erika Dearmas and Carmen Tejada both of Lorain; and his fiancé, Sharmaine Brown of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Dearmas in 2000.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the International House of Praise, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where services will be Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Mark Hebebrand, youth pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, is handling the arrangments.
