Angel Morales

Angel Morales, age 50, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Lorain, died on Sunday, April 19, 2009, in Orlando, FL, due to injuries sustained from a car accident.
He was born on August 14, 1958, in Lorain, moving to Orlando in the late 1980's. Angel served in the United States Army from 1983 until 1986. He was stationed in Panama during the Panama Crisis, earning the Army Service Medal, Army Lapel Button, Overseas Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Marksman Badge M16 Rifle, and the Sharpshooter Badge Hand Grenade Army Achievement Medal.
He was an employee of the US Post Office for over 20 years, beginning his employment there in 1986. Angel was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, where he was a cursillista.
He loved his dog, Chula. He also enjoyed music, especially Jazz and Salsa.
He is survived by his spouse of 20 years, Sylvia (nee Arocho), his mother, Guillermina "Germaine" Morales (nee Torres), of Lorain, his father, Antonio Morales, of San Antonio, TX, his 2 brothers; Vincent (Amy), of Vermilion, and Gregory Loera, of Lorain, sisters; Irma Morales, of San Antonio, TX, Gabriella (Ezekiel) Sanchez-Morales, of Lorain, and Vanessa (Joel) Ortiz, of San Antonio, TX, and his eight nieces and nephews; Carla Rios and Micah Joel Ortiz, both of San Antonio, TX, Angelique, "Little Vince", and Karis Morales, all of Vermilion, Isabel, Santana, and Natalia Sanchez, all of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Vicente and Aurora Torres, his aunt, Jovita Coronado, and his paternal grandparents; Angel and Francisca Morales.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends will also be received on Monday, from 8:30 am until the time of Mass at 9:30 am, at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post 30 and the Veterans of Foreign War Post 451.
