Angelina M. Garcia (nee Ceja) was born on Monday, December 9, 1929, and she earned her angel wings as she passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022.
Angelina was beautiful inside and out and managed to complete all her life’s goals. She lived life to the fullest. She was strong in her faith and would always say “God takes care of everything and everyone”. She lived a full life for the 92 years she was here on earth and was the matriarch of the Garcia/Ceja family. Her example of living life was inspirational on so many levels. She was a trailblazer at her place of employment; doing a man’s job when no one else would and wearing purple hair highlights before they were fashionable. Angelina loved making tortillas and Mexican food for her family. She wore many hats in her life regarding her employment having worked the line at Lorain Products, worked as a school aid, interpreter for the hospital, waitress, and babysitter. Angelina was selfless and what she did best was love her family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She spoiled her children and grandchildren as best as she could. There was nothing she would not do for her family. Angelina was loved by her family, and she leaves a footprint from her life here on earth. Some of her frequent quotes she loved to provide for her family; “there’s nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it”, an encourager, “mind over matter”, and “you are better than nobody else and nobody is better than you”. She would mention for no one to ruffle her feathers, there would be consequences; she was a strong advocate. Angelina loved to tell her stories of her childhood and her life escapades or adventures; she would always have an audience. The stories were full of love, fun, and excitement.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Victor Ceja Sr. and Candelaria (nee Maciel) Ceja; several half-sisters and brothers, Sally, Josephine, Louisa, Raymond, and Salvador.
