Ann V. Zgola (nee Kish), age 77, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Avon, after a brief illness.
She was born on June 25, 1929 in Lorain, Ohio, where she has lived her entire life. Ann attended St. Ladislaus grade school, then Whittier Jr. High, before finishing at Lorain High School.
Ann was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain.
She had been employed by Lorain Products as an assembler, retiring in 1997. Prior to that, she worked at General Industries in Elyria.
Ann enjoyed playing BINGO, gardening, painting, and choosing lottery numbers.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John, and a brother, Louis W. Kish, of Avon.
She was preceded in death by her son; Mark Allan Zgola, in 1955, her parents; Louis and Julia (nee Gomboz) Kish, and 2 sisters; Emma Kish and Irene Dzikielewski.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 25, at 10:00 am, in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Lorain, for graveside services. The Rev. Fr. Joseph West, Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, will officiate.
