Anselmo Torres, Sr., age 77, of Lorain, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Delmar Gardens, in Lawrenceville, GA.
He was born on April 21, 1936, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico and had moved to Lorain, relocating to Georgia 9 years ago. Anselmo retired from Lake Terminal Rail Road.
He is survived by his sons; Anselmo, Jr., of Grayson, GA and Ruben, of Lorain, daughters; Victoria Rosas, of Decatur, GA, Daisy Maldonado, of Richmond, VA, Tammy Dull, of Lorain, and Ruth Torres, of Manhattan, NY, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a brother, Juan Torres, of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Torres, in 1989, a brother, Antolin Torres, a sister, Aida Aviles Torres, and his parents; Domingo and Victoria (nee Miranda) Torres.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 16, from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm, at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Deacon Tony DeGracia will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
