Antolina R. Perez, 74, of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain, following a short illness.
She was born April 1, 1934 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, coming to Lorain in 1953 where she lived until returning to San Lorenzo in 1983.
While living in Lorain, she was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. Antolina was a professional seamstress when she was younger and enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Pablo; daughters, Judie Diaz of Lorain, Daisy Rosario of Riverside, CA, Lourdes Rodriguez of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, and Peggy Silver of Seattle, WA; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Avelina Ruiz of Guayama, Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecillo and Lorenza Ruiz; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will take place in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling local arrangements.
