Antonio F. Morales

Antonio F. Morales, age 93 of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at his residence while under the care of Mercy New Life Hospice.

Born on February 17, 1929, to Angel and Francisca (nee Flores) Morales in Mexico, Antonio moved to Lorain in the 1950’s.  He was an assembler for Lorain Ford Motor Company, retiring in the 1990’s. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel and served as trustee for the Mexican Mutual Society for 10 years.  He was also a member of the United Autoworkers Union Local 425.

Antonio enjoyed gardening, sports and having his morning coffee.

Surviving is his son, Vincent (Amy) Morales; daughters, Gabriella (Anass) Gnaoui and Vanessa Morales as well as 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchild, and sisters; Francisca, Rosa Maria, and Tula.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his son, Angel Morales; daughter, Irma Morales; and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17 from 3 – 7 p.m. at Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Visitation will also be held Friday, November 18 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
