Arcadia Victoriana Davila (nee Soto), age 80, of Lorain, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Community Health Partners, Lorain, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 17, 1930 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, moving to Lorain in 1949. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel.
Arcadia loved dogs and listening to Spanish music. When she was younger, she liked to crochet.
She is survived by her sons; Israel and Wilfredo Davila, both of Lorain, daughters; Mary Lou Caraballo, Helen Torres, and Alishia Davila, all of Lorain, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvador Davila, a grandson, parents; Tomas and Juana Soto, and her brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., at 8:45 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
