Arthur W. Hribar, age 69, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at his home.
He was born on October 29, 1938 in Lorain where he resided for his entire life. He was a 1956B graduate of Lorain High School. He was employed at Ford Motor Co. as an inspector for 35 years, retiring in 1997. Prior to this, he worked at US Steel from 1956 until 1961.
Arthur was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was also a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church for many years.
He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He enjoyed watching and following them, even keeping and recording his own stats, for many years. Arthur loved being with his family, especially his granddaughters. He also enjoyed going on Casino trips and playing Pinnochle.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy T. (nee Marshall), his son, Arthur J. (Debbie), of Lorain, daughter, Lisa M. (Bob) Case, of Aurora, IL, and his 4 granddaughters; Samantha, Abigail, Stephanie, and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Frank J. and Elizabeth C. (nee Simon) Hribar.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where prayers will be held the following morning at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. David Novak, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
