Auria Fonseca, 62, of Lorain, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug 6, 1945 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, living in Cleveland for most of her life before coming to Lorain a year ago.
She worked as a machine operator for Cosmo Plastics in Cleveland for 14 years retiring in 1997.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Robert Caraballo and Pedro Caraballo both of Cleveland; a daughter, Rita Evans of Lorain; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Carlos Fonseca and Angel "Hito" Fonseca both of Lorain; sisters, Maria Luisa Stanaker of Cambridge, Ohio, and Gladys Fonseca of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Fonseca in 1991 and Juanita (nee Rodriguez) Fonseca in 1982; brothers, Isidoro Fonseca in 1990, and Juan Fonseca in 1983; sisters, Carmen Natal in 1983, Juanita Fonseca in 1997, and Irma Castro.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. Iris Rosado, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery
