B. Madalene McArthur

B. Madalene McArthur, (nee Heddon), age 88 of Amherst, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born August 11, 1924 in Otter Lake, MI, she lived in Grand Rapids, MI, and Atlanta, before moving to Lorain in 1962. Since 2004, she has lived with her son Doug in Amherst.
She was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church, Amherst. Bertha loved boating, traveling and her family.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas H. (Sherri) McArthur, of Amherst and Garfield Sidney (Mary) McArthur, of Wellington; a daughter, Dawn I. McArthur of Washington State; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a brother, Bernard Heddon of CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ted A. McArthur, Sr. in 2003; sons, Gregory in 1987 and Ted Allen Jr. in 2000; brothers, Don Heddon in 2006 and Jerry Heddon in 2012; and sisters, Margie, Mary and Francis.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Rev. Adrienne Lloyd, pastor of Heritage Presbyterian Church, Amherst, will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements
