Barbara Podmore

Barbara Podmore, age 68, passed away on July 13, 2024.

She was born to James and Dorothy Bates on August 6, 1955. A resident of Lorain, Ohio, Barbara was a graduate of Brooklyn High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Barbara was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Army where she graduated from Field Artillery training in 1978.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Podmore.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Trudence (Jarrid Myers) Bates, Matthew (Darci Dittmer) Bates; stepdaughter, Traci (Tony) Dolamore; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as her siblings, Mary Ellen Sefchik, James Bates Jr., and William Bates. 

A memorial service will be held from 2-6 p.m. on August 3, 2024 at South Mastick Picnic Area on Valley Drive in the Rocky River Reservation. All who desire are welcome to attend. A flag folding ceremony will also be performed by any military person, veteran or serving and family who wish to participate.
