Bert Van De Weerd, Jr., age 60, of Cleveland, died on Monday, October 4, 2004 at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, following a short illness.
Bert served in the United States Army.
He was employed for 15 years with Mayflower Moving Company.
He is survived by his father: Bert Van De Weerd, Sr., of Strongsville, OH, brothers: William of Amherst, Ronald of Berea and Rawlie, of Woodbridge, Virginia and sister: Christine Harsa, of North Olmsted, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Gretchen (nee Gerbrand) Van De Weerd and sister: Jackie Perry.
Private services will be held at a later date. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
