Bobby J. Cantu, age 73, of Lorain, died on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, after a short illness.
He was born on November 11, 1933 in Kimball, West Virginia. He had lived in Lorain before going to work as a porter for Great Lakes Fleet for 39 years.
Bobby is survived by his brothers; Bill Cantu, of Sheff. Lake, Elbert Cantu, of Lorain, and Clarence Cantu, of Nova, OH, and by his sisters; Sally Polas, of Lorain, Elsie Newman, of Elyria, Peggy Hunker, of Oberlin, and Debra Click, of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie (nee Hale) Cantu, a brother, Lee Cantu, and a sister, Joann Nagy.
The family is holding private services. Burial will be held in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
