Bryant E. Ortiz, age 33, of Lorain, died suddenly on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009.
Born November 9, 1975 in Manhattan, New York, he was a Lorain resident since 1978. He had attended Lorain High School.
He enjoyed working as a landscaper. He was a member of Iglesia de Cristo Misionera and liked rapping, baseball and softball.
He is survived by his mother, Rachel Asencio of Lorain, son, Andrew Ortiz, of Elyria, daughters, Jazzlyn Ortiz, of Berlin Heights, Savannah Ortiz of Birmingham and brothers, Ramon Silva, of Lorain, Joseph Silva, of Cleveland, Mark Anthony Silva, of Roselle, NJ and Benjamin Stewart of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan E. Ortiz, in 1978, step father, Rafael Asencio in 1996 and maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Eladia (nee Navarro) Rodriguez.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4 to 9 p.m. with a predicacion service at 6:00 p.m. in Iglesia De Cristo Misionera,1930 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. and also on Friday from 4-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the church with his uncle, Rev. Ruben Rodriguez, pastor and Rev. Naomi Colon, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
