Calvin Dee Hill, age 57, of Lorain, died suddenly on Monday, August 20, 2007.
He was born on April 11, 1950 in Spur, Texas, moving to Lorain in 1990, where he has resided ever since.
He was employed at Trident Roll Technologies, where he worked as a C.M.C. Machinist for the past 4 1/2 years.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1972-1978.
He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Cathy Ann (nee Altman) of Lorain, mother: Ollie Lavoice Blakney (nee Reeves), of Dayton, TX, his 4 daughters: Patricia Jean (PJ) Miller, of Montgomery, Texas, Cynthia Dee Romo, of Dallas, TX, Angela Marie Hill, of Magnolia, TX, and Tiffany Lavoice Hill, of Austin, TX, his son: Steven James Snyder, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a brother: Stanley Herman Hill of Lorain and sisters: Sheila Renee Miller of Dayton, TX and Sandra Kay Bagley, of Iron Mountain, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Cecil Herman Hill.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 7-9 p.m.
at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m., at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 4501 Clinton Avenue, Lorain. Inter. Pastor, Rev. William Matlack, will officiate.
