Carl A. Mielcarek

Carl A. Mielcarek, age 81, of Avon Lake, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2022 at Ganzhorn Suites in Avon, Ohio.

Born December 14, 1940 to Carl E. and Elizabeth (nee Shullick) Mielcarek, Carl spent his entire life in the Lorain county area.  He graduated from John Marshall High School and worked as a sales representative for Nabisco brands until his retirement after 32 years. 

He enjoyed going to various casinos, traveling and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Above all, Carl loved spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Gloria (nee Gladys) Mielcarek; children, Kimberly (Lloyd) Bir, James (Kathleen) Mielcarek, John (Lori) Tark and Joseph (Katey) Tark; 9 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his siblings, Donald Shullick and Beverly Gleba.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
