Carmen M. Arroyo (nee Esteras) age 93, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family while under the care of Crossroads Hospice.
Born November 16, 1923 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she came to Lorain in 1952.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and going to bingo.
Surviving are her daughters, Juanita Rosario of Miami, Florida, Blanca Vazquez of Lorain and Wanda Arroyo of Vermilion; sons, Victor of Bronx, NY, Albert, Rafael, Nestor, Pete, Samuel and John all of Lorain, Will of Euclid and Alex of Warwick, Road Island; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lorenzo in 2000; a son, Jose in 1959; parents, Jose and Angelina (nee Delgado) Esteras; and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 24th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialist, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of mass at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. William Thaden will officiate.
