Carmen C. Flores (nee; Caraballo), "Mama", age 81, of Lorain, died on Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, after a long illness.
She was born on November 1, 1924 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. She had moved to Lorain from Puerto Rico 55 years ago.
She had devoted her time to her home and family.
She was a member of the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer. She had enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking.
She is survived by her 2 sons; Gasper, Jr. and German, both of Pinellas Park, FL, her 3 daughters; Margarita Rodriguez, of Long Island, NY, Marian Mounts and Matilda Lamberty, both of Lorain, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Fidel, Jr., and Vidal, both of Puerto Rico, and her 4 sisters; Dominga, Sara, Lubina, and Eva, all of Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gasper Flores, on April 19, 1993, her daughter, Nilsa Toro, on November 27, 2000, a grandson, Bobby Mounts, Jr., on July 14, 1995, and her parents; Fidel and Jova (nee; Feliciano) Caraballo.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 16, 2006, from 6-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, at 11:00 a.m., at the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Rogelio Rivera, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
