Carmen M. LeBron, 58, of Lorain, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born Nov. 20, 1952 in Chicago, she came to Lorain in 1998.
While living in Chicago, Carmen worked as a secretary and as a phlebotomist at Illinois Masonic Hospital. She also earned a diploma in Theology from the Bible Institute in Chicago. She taught Sunday school and tutored for many years.
She was a member of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, Lorain. Carmen enjoyed crocheting, knitting and many different forms of arts and crafts.
Surviving is her son, Juan Pagan of Chicago; daughters, Monserrate Salas and Anna Mara Cuevas both of Lorain; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Victor, Milton and Junior all of Chicago; and sisters, Gloria and Santita both Chicago; and a foster son, Russell A. Ready.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ernesto Gonzalez in 2006; and her parents, Agripino "Santo" LeBron and Maria (nee Cancel).
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
