Carmen A. Sanchez (nee Rodriguez), 58 of Lorain, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at New Life Hospice Residential Center following a brief illness.
Born Oct. 19, 1952 in Lorain, she lived in Lorain her entire life.
Carmen attended Southview High School and enjoyed watching wrestling and soap operas. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Carmen attended House of Praise International Church, Lorain.
Surviving is her husband of 24 years, Edwin Oracio; sons, Rene Sanchez, Edwin Oracio and Paul Sanchez all of Lorain; daughters, Anna Sanchez and Jennifer Oracio both of Lorain; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Justino Rodriguez Jr. of Wellington, and Nelson Rodriguez of Lorain; sisters, Rosie Arroyo of Lorain and Norma Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Justino Rodriguez in 1994 and Felicita (nee Rivas) Rodriguez in 1984; and a grandson, Israel Cancel in 2005.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am. Mr. Ymmer Cobos, minister of House Of Praise International Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
