Carol A. Hallgren, (nee Romer), age 60, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a brief illness.
She was born on July 16, 1945 in Lorain and has lived here her entire life.
Carol was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary's High School, Lorain.
She was employed at Lakeshore Auto, Lorain, as a bookkeeper. Prior to this she was employed at Leff Electric and Cleveland Trust, Lorain.
She was a member of St. Mary On The Lake Catholic Church, Lorain.
Carol enjoyed her grandchildren, yard work, cooking, antiquing, scrapbooking, and occasional visits to Casino's.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years: Robert F. Hallgren, son: Eric Hallgren, of Amherst, 2 granddaughters, brothers: Richard Romer of Wichita, KA and Charles Romer, of Columbus, sisters: Barbara Gatten, of Amherst and Linda Robinson, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Romer in 2001 and Beatrice (nee Carney) Romer in 1999.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
