Carolyn Louise Yurch

Carolyn Louise Yurch (nee Lugar), age 88, of Lorain, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 5, 1923 in Johnstown, PA, moving to this area in 1947.
Carolyn was a long time member of St. Francis Cabrini Parish, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Louise (Phil) Zimmerman, of Lorain sons; John J. Yurch, of Lorain and Chuck (Beth) Yurch, of North Ridgeville, grandchildren; Keri Yurch, Elaine Yurch, Zack Yurch, Tyler Yurch, and Sidney Yurch, great granddaughters; Rennae and Amber, and a special Goddaughter, Claudia Meadows. She is also survived by her nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Francis C., in 2002, parents; George and Josephine (nee Prieselec) Lugar, brothers; Steve and George Lugar, and a sister, Catherine Ondick.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 14, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Francis Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Rev. John Retar, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
