Catherine P. Ujhelyi, (nee Gryzlo) 96 formerly of Lorain, died Sunday March 30, 2008 at her home in Des Plaines, IL.
She was born Sept. 23, 1911 in Portage, NY, lived most of her life in Lorain until moving to Illinois in 1985.
Catherine is survived by her son Antone "Bud" (Mary) Ujhelyi of Park Ridge, IL; daughters Carole Roske of Bay Village, OH, Diane (Bill) Niedbala of Arlington Heights, IL, and Bonnie (Jim) Benge of Kettering, OH; grandchildren, Brian (Karen) Wilker of Avon, OH, Kimberly Novak of Fairview Park, OH, and Mark (Lorin) Niedbala of Arlington Heights, OH; great-grandchildren Megan Wilker, Kevin and Matthew Wilker all of Avon, OH, and Madeline Niedbala of Arlington Heights, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Antone in 1975.
Private family services were held yesterday in the Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Daniel Divis, pastor of St. Mary Church, Lorain, officiated. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain handled the arrangements.
