Cecelia H. Jessie (nee Kasubinski) Olesinski, age 92, of Lorain, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 at Center Ridge Nursing Home, North Ridgeville, after an illness of 2 years.
She was born October 10, 1912 in Helmetta, New Jersey and lived in Lorain for the most of her life.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the St. Gertrude Lodge #54 of the Union of Poles in America, Polish American Citizens Club, St. Anns Auxiliary #287 of the Knights of St. John, and United Polish Ladies Auxiliary Club of Elyria.
She enjoyed Bingo, dancing to Polka music, and working in her yard.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Stein, of Palm Springs, CA 1 granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Casimir Olesinski in 1955, her parents; John and Pauline (nee; Kruczynski) Kasubinski, 3 brothers; Frank Kasubinski, Alex Kasubinski, and Zigmund Kasubinski, 2 sisters; Antonia Plato and Anna Rutkowski, and 1 step-brother, Walter Kazubinski.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., and at 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, E. 28th Street & Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Kevin Shemuga, pastor of St. Stanislaus, will be officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
