Charles D. "Charlie" Hall, 50 of Lorain, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his residence while under the care of New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness.
Born August 3, 1962 in Washington, PA, he came to Lorain in 1974. He was a 1981 graduate of Lorain High School.
Charlie worked as a lineman for Ford Motor Company, Avon Lake Truck Plant for 19 ½ years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 2000, and the Lorain Bowling Association.
Charlie loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking and was a faithful and devoted Cleveland Brown and Indians fan.
Surviving are his mother, Ruth J. "JoAnn" (nee Anderson) Hall; sons, Jason W. (Kim Weston) of Phoenix, AZ, and Chad A. (Nicole Eibon) of Lorain; a daughter, Jennifer L. Hall of Lorain; grandchildren, Alyssa J. Hall, Dennis W. Wilkerson Jr., and Jessica R. Canterbury; brothers, Alonzo "Little Lonnie" (Tracie) Hall of Sheffield Lake and Jeffery Hall of Lorain; and a sister, Lynn (Eric) Janke of Kennewaw, GA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo W. "Lonnie" Hall on January 20, 2013.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor of First Lutheran Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
