Cheryl Roth

Cheryl A. Roth (nee Kruppa), age 76, of Lorain, died Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Arden Courts in Westlake following a lengthy illness.

Born June 16, 1947, to the loving parents of Joseph and Clara (nee Balog) Kruppa, she was a lifelong resident of Lorain. Cheryl was a 1965 graduate of Clearview High School, and in 1970, she married the love of her life, Jeffery W. Roth.

Cheryl worked as a cashier at the Topps Grocery Store in Lorain for 42 years. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain, and the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 880. She enjoyed walking.

Besides her husband, Cheryl is also survived by her children, Brian (Justine) Roth and Amy (Marino) Susi both of Amherst; grandchildren, Katie, Ben, Alyson, and Andrea; and a sister, Patricia (Jim) Zink of Pennsylvania.

Along with her parents, her sister, Joan Dovin, preceded her in death.

A mass was held at Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th St. Lorain. Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, officiated. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. To send the family online condolences, go to www.dovinfcs.com.
