Cheryl L. Shaffer

Cheryl L. Shaffer, age 54, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain following a short illness.

Born April 8, 1968 to Ray and Sandra (nee French) Shreves in Amherst, Ohio, Cheryl spent most of her life in the Amherst and South Amherst area.  She graduated from Marion L. Steele High School in 1986 and later went on to college for her paralegal degree.  In the early 2000s, Cheryl briefly located to Barberton before returning to the Amherst area.

She enjoyed motorcyles and motorcycle rides as well as soap operas, cooking and baking.

Surviving are her children, Jason Shaffer and Adam Shaffer; grandchildren,  Arabella Shaffer, Blaire Shaffer, Eric Loatman and Isabella Gill as well as her brother, Chuck.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as a sister, Stacie Brown.

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, May 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain
