Christopher Vazquez

Christopher Anthony Vazquez , 37 of Lorain, known as Chris or CV, gained his wings and was led peacefully to his heavenly home on Friday June 28, 2024. He was held by his loving Mother as he transitioned into eternal life. 

Chris was born on December 6, 1986 to Julio and Norma Vazquez in Lorain, Ohio. He was a tremendous son, brother, uncle, and friend. Chris enjoyed golfing, watching Cleveland sports and wrestling, hanging with family and friends, grilling food, and watching sunsets as he contemplated life and his own journey.

He was happy to help anyone who needed a hand and was loved by so many. 

An ’05 alumni of the Southview High School, Chris was passionate about being a part of South Lorain and what was happening. He took pride in his work, both professionally and side projects that he would do. 

Chris is survived by his loving parents, Norma and Julio, brothers Jesus and Angel, sisters Frances and Selena, Godmother Mildred, nieces and nephews, and an abundant amount of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chris also leaves behind special friends, Reese Mike, Luis, Tony moon, TJ, Allen, David, Vince, Matt, Felix, Andy, Rob, Sean, Josh, Steve Bobe, brothers from another mother! He will be missed by as many!

Chris is predeceased and welcomed into Heaven by his grandparents Lydia and Juan Diaz (maternal),Jesus and Ana Vazquez (paternal), and blessed Godfather Jose “Tony” Santiago. 

His memory will live on forever from the lives that he was a part of. He will be dearly missed.

His family will receive friends at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain, OH 44055, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 4 to 8 PM. Also at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave, Lorain, Wednesday from 8:30 until Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, pastor will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to offset his final expenses.
