Clara M. Pustulka, (nee Burgess), age 88, of Lorain, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center - West, Lorain, following a short illness.
Born Aug. 17, 1916 in Lorain, she was a life long resident here.
She had worked 10 years for Lorain Products as an assembler, retiring in 1962. She was a volunteer for the former St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Lorain, with their catering and bingo. She also volunteered 2 nights a week at bingo for St. Mary Catholic Church, Lorain, for almost her entire life.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and the church's Ladies Guild. She brought home made baked goods to the pastor at the church ever Saturday for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, and baking.
Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Walter Pustulka, her son, Walter Pustulka of Lorain, 2 grandsons, and 1 great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Francis Pustulka and Charles Pustulka, her step father, Charles Wolfe and mother, Catherine (nee Whalen) Wolfe, a brother, Joseph Burgess.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, W. 7th and Reid Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Daniel Divis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
