Claude Q. Ward

Claude Q. Ward, age 43, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

Born July 20, 1979, he lived in Delaware, Ohio and Floyd County, Kentucky before moving to Lorain in the 1980’s.

Claude worked at Murray Ridge for 20 years.  He loved his puppies and collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards.  He enjoyed cooking, drawing angels, sewing and especially crafts.  He made many crafts and gave them as gifts to his family and friends.  Claude also loved spending time with his godson, Johnny Miller and Johnny’s brothers, Mark Miller and Waylon Hughes.

Surviving his uncle Jimmy Dean Adkins; aunts, Katherine Collins and her children, Jennifer Adkins (Johnny, Mark and Waylon) and Melinda Adkins; Teresa Hall her daughter, Angela Hall; Jewel Williams and her children, Sherman, Jimmy and Harry Jr.; cousins, Patricia Litchkowski and her sons Brad, Anthony and Brian, Sandra Hall and her sons, Josh and Ben, Linda Potter and her children, Jonathan, Brandon and Brooklyn, and Robert Huhn and his children, Courtney, Brad and Lanie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Arizona (nee Adkins) Ward; and his grandparents, Quinton and Martha Adkins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until the time of funeral services at 4:30 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  Burial will take place in Galveston, Kentucky.
