Clotilde Caraballo (nee; Rosario), age 84, of Lorain, died on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at her residence, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 28, 1922 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, moving to Lorain in 1948.
While living in Lorain, she was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, where she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Also, she was a member of the Legion of Mary, the Cursillo Movement, and participated in the Charismatic Group.
Clotilde especially enjoyed gardening roses.
She is survived by her son, Robert, of Lorain, her daughters; Clotilde Dunlap, of Lorain, and Judith Caraballo Arzuaga, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her brother, Manuel Perez, of Luquillo, Puerto Rico, and 2 sisters; Carmen Caraballo, of Bronx, NY, and Cristina Alejandro, of Springfield, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robertin, in 1992, her parents; Lorenzo and Cristina (nee; Perez) Rosario, and 3 brothers, Lorenzo, Reynaldo, and Abraham.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, November 8, from 9 until the time of mass at 9:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
