Concepcion L. "Nene" Lopez, age 82, of Lorain, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, after a long illness.
He was born on December 8, 1923 in Rock Dale, TX. He had lived in Chula Vista, CA from 1960 until 2002, and then moved back to Lorain in 2002.
He was in the US Army. He was employed as a sheet metal worker at a steel plant while here in Lorain.
He is survived by his 5 sons; Raul, Jose, Hermando, David, and Manuel, all of Lorain, his 2 daughters; Yolanda Brillon and Anna Maria Lopez, both of Lorain, 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and his 2 brothers; Salome, Jr., of Elyria and Abelino, of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Salome and Felipa (nee; Luna), and a brother, Roberto.
The family is holding private services. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
