Cynthia L. “Cindy” Flowers (nee Gyorfi), age 63, of Ravenna, passed away quietly in her sleep on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Born January 2, 1959, in Amherst, she lived in Lorain and attended Lorain High School. She also lived in Kent before moving to Ravenna in 1977.
Cindy worked as a paraprofessional for 26 years, having taught special needs children in the Orange City School District, retiring in 2021.
Cindy loved music.
Surviving is her husband of 2 years, James; son, Matthew Flowers of North Ridgeville; daughter, Shannon Flowers of Elyria; grandchildren, Maddox, Grant, Eric, and Carter; sisters, Callista Elliot, Susan Rhodes, Rebekah Garcia, and Mary Jo Walsh; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Sonja (nee Hermason) Gyorfi; and a brother, David.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 30th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Monday, October 31st from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
