D. Scott Edwards, age 57, of Elyria, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake, following a brief illness.
He was born January 22, 1949 in Cleveland; he has been a resident of Elyria for the past 25 years.
He graduated from Brecksville High School in 1967. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was employed at the P.C. Campana, Lorain for 32 years as a supervisor.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and the outdoors.
Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Phyllis (nee Daidone); sons, Stephen Daidone of Amherst, Ken Daidone of Canton; daughters, Toni Kugel of Cranberry, PA, Lisa Glaser of Mogadore, OH, Diane Daidone of Amherst; 8 grandchildren; his mother, Ruth Edwards of Broadview Heights; a sister, Marsha Marquardt of Broadview Heights.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Rev. Schroyer, associate pastor of Church of the Open Door, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Brooklyn, OH.
