Diana Aguilar

Diana C. Aguilar (nee Claus), 70, of Lorain, died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Regency Hospital Cleveland, following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 4, 1940 in Lorain to the late William and Mary Helen (nee Kolopos) Claus, she lived her entire life here and attended Lorain High School.
Diana was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She was also a member and worked for many years at the Lorain Elks Lodge 1301. Diana loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Lisa (Robert) Zimmerman of Amherst, Angela Alicea of Lorain, and Anthony Aguilar of Lorain; granddaughters, Alexis Aguilar, Lauren Zimmerman, Francesca Weeden, Alexandria Alicea, Ashton Aguilar and Adrienne Aguilar; and a brother, Bill Claus of Lorain.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Frank R. Aguilar in 2001.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:45 am followed by mass at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave., Lorain. Rev. Curtis Kondik, pastor of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
