Diane A. Goodwin (nee Woodard), age 67, of North Ridgeville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 21, 2022, at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
Born February 21, 1955, in Denton, North Carolina, she came to Lorain in the late 1950s and had remained a resident until moving to North Ridgeville in 2001.
Diane attended Lorain Admiral King and was an active member of Cathedral of Life Ministries in North Ridgeville. She enjoyed volunteering at church, arts and crafts, and vacationing with her sister. Her main passion was helping the disabled.
Diane retired last month as a supervisor from REM Ohio after 27 years.
Surviving is her fiancé, Bob Collins of North Ridgeville; her children, Billy Holland Jr., Melissa Miller, Amie Sasser, Holly Krasienko, and Olga Beltran; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; parents, David and Elizabeth Reihner; brother, Ray Woodard; and sisters, Shella Burton, Suzie Fitzgerald, Christine Rehoreg and Mary Hensley.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Fitzgerald.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Mike Payne, pastor of Cathedral of Praise Ministries will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Twp. Masks will be required to attend visitation and funeral services.
