Diane M. Thompson, (nee Golowenski) 55 of Lorain, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice from complications with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born on June 9, 1951 in Lorain and a lifelong resident here.
Diane graduated from Lorain High School in 1969 then worked for Lorain Products for four years.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and playing bingo.
Surviving is her husband of 33 years: David, son: Christopher of Columbus, daughters: Amy Thompson of Half Moon Bay, CA, Emily Lopez, of Lorain, 1 granddaughter, her parents: John and Dorothy (nee Recznik) Golowenski, of Lorain, brothers: David of Sunbury, Ohio, John of Oklahoma City, OK, Robert of Tuttle, OK, sisters: Janet Baxter, of Lorain, Elaine Berstling of Sheffield Village, OH, Karen Golowenski, of Flagstaff, AZ, Dorothy Ralls, of Yukon, OK, Lynne Kramer, Michelle Holbrook, and Renee Golowenski, all of Lorain.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Joseph West, pastor will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
