Dolores Buga

We, the family of Dolores J. “Dollie” Buga, are deeply saddened to announce her passing, at age 81, on October 27, 2024, at 12:24 AM, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, following a catastrophic fall and extended hospitalization.

She was born on May 27, 1943, in Lorain, Ohio, to John and Irene P. (nee Koleszar) Kacsandi, joined the Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain, Ohio, and graduated in 1960, from Brookside High School in Sheffield Village, Ohio. Over her career she held various positions in the workforce, ranging from greenhouse work, to clerical work at Lear Siegler, customer service at Clarkins department store, and later in life, factory labor at Wabash Technologies in Huntington, Indiana and volunteer work with the Friends In Service Helping (F.I.S.H.) food pantry of Wabash, Indiana, though her most treasured position as homemaker began with her marriage to Thomas M. Buga, the man who would be her loving husband of 47 years, in Lorain, Ohio, on June 1, 1973.

Dollie enjoyed meeting new people, visiting old friends, trying new foods, cooking, word search puzzles, playing cards, and watching game shows. She had an outgoing personality, a kind heart, a generous spirit, a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh all who heard it will undoubtedly remember fondly.

Dolores Buga is survived by two children, Thomas M. (JoAnn) Buga II and Kimberly D.B. (Russell) Woodward of Wabash, Indiana, four granddaughters, Yolanda M. “Lana” Crocker, Alexis J. Buga-Stickels (Zachary), Clarissa I. Saillant, Sara L. Buga and her brother, Bruce Kacsandi of Lorain, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one sister.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no public memorial ceremony. We would ask that, in lieu of flowers or gifts, those who would honor her life and memory consider a donation to a charity of their own choosing or, better yet, take any money and time they would give and use it to spread joy in the lives of others as she would have.
