Donald "Donnie" Kendall

Donald “Donnie” Kendall, age 53, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center in Elyria, Ohio.

Born May 22, 1968 to Don Kendall and Madeline (nee Lavoie) Kerns in Elyria, Donnie spent most of his life in the Elyria area. He attended Elyria West High School and owned Kendall’s Auto in Lorain.

He loved monster trucks, wrestling and racing. He also loved spending time with his family as well as taking his grandchildren to the county fair.

Surviving are his children, Donald Allen (Christy) Kendall, Kevin (Danielle) Allen Kendall and Amber Kendall; grandchildren, Allanah, D.J., Jace, Jayden, Jaylynn, Aiden, Bryson, Carson and Taylor; mother, Madeline Kerns; sister, Marlene (David) Tyree as well as his brothers, Dann (Deborah) Kendall, Thomas Kendall and Brian (Summer) Kendall.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Kendall; son, Alexander Nicholson as well as his brother, Jason Kendall.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 3 at 9:30 a.m. Private burial will be held in Spring Grove Cemetery, Mercersburg, PA.
