Donald A. "Don" Lindsey, age 65, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his Northridge Health Center while under the care of Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born October 4, 1953 in Cleveland, he moved to Lorain in 1964. Don graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1971 and then went on to Ohio Northern University, graduating as a pharmacist.
Don worked as a pharmacist for Cunningham Drug Store, Gray Drug Store and Kroger. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Lorain, where we belonged to the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the American Pharmacist Association and was a big brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Don was a contributor to the Sudan Relief Fund, and enjoyed reading and childcare. He especially loved sewing and making baby blankets.
Surviving is his father, Harold Lindsey of Mr. Zion, West Virginia; and a brother, Steven of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Lindsey; a brother, Keith; and sisters, Kathy Lindsey and Jane Lindsey.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 am followed by Mass at 11:00 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Road, Elyria. Rev. John C. Retar will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
