Doris Lanz Webker, age 77, of Parma, died on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1930 in Cleveland, living in Columbus, Ohio and Tuscon, Arizona, before moving to Parma many years ago.
Doris was a 1950 graduate of Dyke College, Cleveland, earning her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
First she worked for the Veterans Administration and military office in Columbus. She also had worked at Nickleplate Railroad after she graduated from college. Her most recent employment was an International Treasury Agent for the Government for 33 years, retiring in 1985 at the age of 55. Doris was one of the first woman IRS agents.
She was a member of the North Royalton United Methodist Church and was a member of the National Treasury Employees Union and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Jack C. Webker, of Parma, his nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie K. and Amalia (nee Dresher) Lanz.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 17, 2007 from 9:00 until time of services at 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
